WHY IS EAST POINT CHURCH OF CHRIST
ORGANIZING AN ORPHAN SUPPORT
PROGRAM IN ZIMBABWE?

Zimbabwe suffers from political, economic, and medical disaster at the
present time.
-
The AIDS crisis has left approximately 1.2 to 1.3 million children as
orphans.
-
As of January 2007, the inflation rate was approximately 1,600% with
80% unemployment rate and approximately 90% poverty rate.
-
The government does not offer care for the orphans.
-
Many orphans end up on the street, doing whatever it takes to survive

SUPPORT MEANS HOPE!Providing support to these children means that they
receive:
- Spiritual teaching
- Clothes to wear
- Food to eat
- Standard education
|
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
- The Nhowe Mission is responsible for
overseeing the orphan program.
- Each sponsored school has a minister to oversee
the orphans. This minister is responsible for
ensuring that the children receive food, clothing,
and spiritual support. They also ensure that the
children are attending classes
